"I watch the ripples change their size
but never leave the stream
of warm impermanence....
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes...."
Even early in his career, David Bowie was aware that things were in a constant state of flux, both on the surface and at their depths.
He has survived the flux and sustained his prosperity, grounded in what truly brings him joy.
The important thing is to be aware of remaining grounded, with a clear energy flow, through these times of rapid change and transition.
I closed my eyes today, in hopes of slowing myself down, and asked: What animal will come and assist me today on my healing path?
Immediately, Chameleon came, and the song "Changes" began playing in my head.
Ah.
It is not easy, the constant state of flux.
Sometimes I feel things will never stay still.
Then I remember: I have no control over whether anything is still.
That is, except for myself. Today, in this moment, I choose to be still.
My colors and movements morph and breathe with the changing of the tide.
I AM,
and that is all that I need to be.
Thank you, Chameleon.
Thank you, David Bowie.
"Time may change me,
But I can't trace time--
I said that time may change me,
But I can't trace time...."
